DATES AND TIMES:
Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2008 Daylight hours only. 7 days a week.
Water available at Start Point. Trail is OK for or wheel chairs and strollers.

TRAIL RATING:
Walk 79623 / Y0972  . The walk is 10K route along interurban paths and urban areas, and is rated a 1

Walk 79976 / Y1492 . The walk is 10K route through parts of town and its parks and onto interurban paths.

REGISTRATION:
There is no pre registration for this event. Register by signing the book at the Safeway Store. Pay appropriate fee and obtain a start cards. Each person must carry a start card even if you are participating for free.

ELIGIBILITY:
This event is open to everyone of all ages. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

DISCLAIMER:
Although every effort will be made to make this a safe, enjoyable event, the sponsors are not liable for accidents, injuries, thefts and other material damages. All participants are required to register at the start area and carry a start card. By doing so, each event participant agrees to accept the guidelines for Volkssport events published by the American Volkssport Association (AVA) and to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. This event will be held regardless of weather. There will be no refunds.

START FEES:
The fee for IVV credit only is $3.00 ($2.00 for those 16 years old and younger). Participants may earn only ONE EVENT credit for each half of the year (one from Jan. 1 - June 30, one from July 1 - Dec. 31) but may earn as many distance credits as they wish. Participants may walk the course twice on one start card the same day. Each day the participant walks, he/she must re register and obtain a new start card.

DIRECTIONS:
North or South 1-5 -: NORTHBOUND exit #149A ( SR 516E/Kent. SOUTHBOUND exit # 149 (SR516 W/Kent/DesMoines)
Northbound RIGHT/Southbound LEFT onto Kent/DesMoines Road.
Continue down the hill, past the Meeker St exit until you reach Washington St. TURN LEFT onto Washington and then TURN RIGHT into the Safeway parking lot.
State Route 167: Exit ( Willis ST/Des Moines). NORTHBOUND LEFT/ SOUTHBOUND RIGHT onto Willis St. Go to Washington and TURN RIGHT and the RIGHT into the Safeway parking lot.
